The Khayelihle Children’s Village Community Orphan Care Programme (COCP) has 105 children-49 girls and 56 boys. These children live in the suburbs close to the KCV office in the city of Bulawayo. The children are orphans living with caregivers who may be a grandparent, aunt, older sibling or friend. KCV provides for the child by paying school fees, buying school uniforms, giving some food, paying some medical expenses, and providing some clothes.

The COCP programme director is Jabulani Ndiweni who oversees the distribution of the supplies and sees that the school fees are paid. Jabulani regularly visits the children and their caregivers in their homes.

He also provides spiritual direction by meeting with the children at Makokoba Sunday School building each Friday afternoon.

A local missionary couple provides the funding for the programme. If you would like to contribute toward the costs of the COCP, please contact KCV.
